Tour Overview
The 8D7N Sri Lanka Scenic & Heritage Escape takes you through the island’s ancient landmarks, misty highlands, emerald tea country, historic coastal towns and golden beaches.
For centuries, Sri Lanka has been an important meeting point for traders, travellers and communities travelling across the Indian Ocean. Muslim merchants established connections with the island many generations ago, contributing to Sri Lanka’s diverse culture, cuisine and heritage.
Our journey begins in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s vibrant capital and home to the striking Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, commonly known as the Red Mosque.
From there, travel towards the Cultural Triangle to discover Dambulla and the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of Sri Lanka’s most recognisable historical landmarks.
Continue to Kandy, the island’s cultural heart, before travelling through mist-covered mountains and rolling tea plantations towards Nuwara Eliya.
The journey then descends to Sri Lanka’s tropical southern coast, where travellers can relax in Bentota and explore the colonial streets and oceanfront ramparts of Galle Fort.
Before returning to Colombo, visit Beruwala, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest Muslim settlements and an important part of the island’s Islamic heritage.
